WWE lays smackdown on YouTube community with full-length, catch-up episodes
Wrestling fans, have we got a body-slam of an announcement for you. Today, we’re announcing a new partnership with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that will bring full-length episodes of Friday Night Smackdown, WWE NXT, WWE Superstars and ECW to YouTube users in the U.S. on the WWE YouTube channel. In case that's not enough pile-driving goodness for you, there will be even more clips from Monday Night Raw, footage from classic WWE matches, and videos from WWE Superstars and Divas like John Cena, Chris Jericho and Alicia Fox.
Whether you cut your teeth on old Wrestlemania matches, came of age under the reign of Austin 3:16, or are just a casual observer interested in the world of sports entertainment, the WWE channel on YouTube is your destination for fresh content from WWE Superstars. And once again, Latvia and I believe some part of europe is left out. When will we be able to watch this legally, I mean I would love to watch it all legally, but THE ONLY way I can watch it is torrents. Sorry.
Whats the point in it only being available in the US when its shown there on network tv. I live in Ireland and the only way I can watch it is strems online because I'm a student and can't afford digital tv with the sports package.
WWE you really need to think outside the box and remember you have fans globally not just in the US.
And while we get "important" news about WWE, the FCC and major media corporations are meeting behind closed doors to discuss the future of net neutrality. If google and youtube really cared about net neutrality their sites would be plastered with this information available to the general public. I hope you all enjoy the internet as it is as much as possible, because soon in america our internet is going to be more akin to China than what we experience today. This is cool, especially since they're moving to Sy Fy soon because the channel is not available in the Chicago area unless you have some super-duper ultra plus package that'll cost over a hundred fifty dollars, an arm and a leg or two. At least WWE fans can still watch Smackdown & other programs w/out any problems now.... just as long as you live in the US LOL.
