Blogs Move to Blogger
For a long time our blog hasn't used the latest blog technology -- not only was publishing posts a time-consuming process, but you couldn't search through our archives or find posts grouped by subject. Well, we're finally catching up and have migrated over to Blogger, a more flexible blogging platform that heeds the call for better navigation and organization. (But be aware that if you want to comment on a blog post, you'll need an OpenID, or a Google account, to do so. Connecting your YouTube account to your Google account should make the process pretty seamless.)
We're still fixing a few things here and there, and a few posts with large numbers of comments are still migrating over, but overall we hope you will find this to be a better blog-reading experience.

the bad thing about this is that before, the crap posted on the blog by disgruntled users was linked to tehir account, now thay can just hide and say the crap and spam they want without beng known, which i think is a BAD thing with the spam kiddies of the beta
at least you moderate comments now, i guess less kiddos will spam them (no need to approve it, i just wanted to tell you its a good idea)

Well, I understand that it is hard for a small garage firm like YouTube to operate a blog of their own. At least this will help to ensure that there will be less comments from now on - reading all those many comments recently was such a pain!
Hold on a for a second...before that we used our YT account for make comments, and now we have to have4 GOOGLE ONES for that? you're turning into google lapdog, seriously!
And now that censoring of posted comments...to keep only those what agree with you?

It is getting easier and easier to use google with you tube. I think I will like this.
I am pleased with the new channel design. I can finally send people to my channel and not have to worry about them being flooded with profanity and subject content that they find offensive. I give a lot of credit to the bug fixes and features so far and look forward to more in the future. Most of the comments against the change seems to be from people who don't even upload videos (OR HAVE VERY FEW TO GIVE THEM CREDIBILITY). They seem to be more interested in showing off their art. There are many other venues on the internet to do so. If there are actually so many people who threaten to delete and leave their accounts- I say good-riddens. It will be another improvement to the community. (More bandwith for the rest who are serious contributers.) (Just don't slam the door behind you.It may come back to hit you on the way out.)

You deleted the blog with over 60000 comments? The blog that showed that most people hate the new channel design. The blog that showed that most people want a choice. Pathetic.
Removing the bulletins was also very unpopular. But you did it anyway. Bulletins were a great way for people to get views on their videos and channel. And also to make new friends.
What are you going to do next...remove the inbox? It wouldn't suprise me.
Also people don't want their videos covered with ads. What's wrong? Not making enough money? Try reducing the upload size to 100mb. That might help:)

i was disappointed about the new channels, i thought transparency wasn't going to be an option anymore :( . one thing that i ask you youtube to add transparency!!!! i hate not being able to see my background with beta channel many users favor this feature please add it thank you :)
YouTube... what the hell happened...
I was looking through the Web Archive, on older versions of your site. When I looked at what YouTube was like back when I joined (late November 2006) I cried, cried tears of shame. You and the rest of the people down at the YouTube Team took what was to be a good site and turned it into pure crap. Back when I joined, you guys were awesome. Suspensions were rare and only to those who deserved it, you cared about your community, you didn't ignore the laws, and now there's crap like overrated partners, unfair and random suspensions without so much as an email to inform you that your account was suspended, trolls/hackers, ignorance, and the community is now an afterthought. What the hell, YouTube, what, the, hell.
I wish of you to try to return to what YouTube was like back in November 2006, and be awesome again. And get rid of Fred while you're at it.
I like this change, it was getting rather annoying seeing the same comment "We want channels back" all the time, atleast now it lessens the amount of spam, and suggestions can be made.
Although I would recommend leaving an option so users do not have to switch channels, but keep working on the newer channels as well.
Also, whenever I come across a random bug, something will come up saying that Youtube is in maitenence. I recommend changing that, as you are not always in maitenence. I believe that screen replaced the "highly trained monkeys" screen.
Please explain why you feel the need to make this change mandatory.
The new design is an ill-conceived eyesore that while it has some good features, is just horrid to look at. If you think there's no way to combine the new technology with the old aesthetic, then you're just not trying hard enough.
Try harder.

Youtube didn't delete your video because of their so-called (by you) political structure (that doesn't even make SENSE!) but because you uploaded your favorite Pokemon episode, which is clearly against the rules.
Do you hate the beta channels? Why? The best reasons that I've heard, sadly, have been things along the lines of because it's gay, it sucks, and they hate it. How about a real reason critiquing its integrity?
All I ask is that the commenters on this blog take ONE SECOND to think about what they are saying before they mindlessly contribute to the dumbing down of the world.

I completely agree with funnyz. Everything changes.
It seems that humans have a paradigm that says "the old stuff was better". We can apply this to videogames, TV shows, and of course YouTube in this case.
The people at YouTube can do whatever they want with their website. I don't really see these new changes affecting me at all.
The new channels I think they look really good. As webmasters or whoever they are in the YouTube group, they have to be always wondering "what can we do to improve the site?". If they wanted to appeal this community of mindless children, they would just put naruto in the YouTube logo.
But whatever, anything and everything you do nowadays will be critiqued.

I am fairly new to Youtube. My view counter froze at 301. I have been in forums. Searched every help tool and article, all to no useful avail. Titonka Music, the music company that financially backs me, is watching my futile attempts to get the counter fixed, and I am afraid that they will decide that an extensive PAID advertising campaign with your company is useless because 1. Customer service is pretty horrid and 2. If the counter doesn't work it is PRETTY DIFFICULT to see how well an ad campaign is going. This will likely not even be read, but if it is YOUTUBE, PLEASE RESPOND!!!! Kaeliannemoriah

I saw there are not updates, so I figured, "well, OK, they stopped updating frequently", but after two months, it starts to smell.
