Join Our Flash Mob....FOR GOOD!
On a typical Friday afternoon at YouTube, you can expect to see most people scrambling to finish their work or getting ready for Google’s weekly TGIF meeting. This past Friday, something different occurred: the first-ever YouTube Holiday Giving Flash Mob. Flash mobs? Aren’t those mainly for hipsters dancing in shopping malls and subway stations? Yes, many are, but we thought it would be cool to channel the crowd-sourced energy of your standard flash mob and put it towards a good cause.
Hundreds of YouTubers across various offices came together to give back to DonorsChoose.org, an organization doing wonderful work for kids across the US. One great thing about DonorsChoose is that they’re crowd-sourced giving -- public school teachers from across America post classroom project requests on the site. Requests range from pencils for a poetry writing unit, to violins for a school recital, to microscope slides for a biology class. You can browse project requests and give any amount to the one that inspires you. Once a project reaches its funding goal, they deliver the materials to the school.
In total, our YouTube Flash Mob raised thousands of
dollars across several different projects. Thanks to Google’s Corporate
Giving Match program and DonorsChoose offering to match the first $100
of each YouTube employee’s donation, we should eventually be able to
double our initial total donation.
But it doesn’t stop there - we want to invite you to be part of our
Flash Mob. DonorsChoose has generously agreed to also match all
donations through Dec 31, 2011. All you need to do is enter the word
“YOUTUBE” in the “I have a gift or match code” field during checkout on
the site and DonorsChoose will match up to $100 of your gift*. So find
a project and give what you can. While DonorsChoose is a U.S. based
organization, we don’t want to limit the giving to within our borders. You can tell us what other organizations and charities hold a special place in your heart by leaving a comment on the YouTube Google+ page. In January we’ll report back on the total donation amount and other global charities you’ve brought to our attention!
Happy Giving!

*DonorsChoose has agreed to match $100 of all gifts using the promotional code ‘YouTube’ up to a certain point.
*Gift matching does not apply when one individual fully funds a project in its entirety, so feel free to spread the love across multiple projects to take advantage of the matching funds.

Poverty is the main problem in the developing country. Its creates many problem in this country. This problem is our main problem. At the present age we see that develop country exploit the developing country. So this problem solved it very seriously. We are tensed about this problem. If we can’t take any initial steps against it otherwise we get a big problem- Like terrorism, economic crisis, dishonesty, culture etc. we do all problem solved about it hurry up now-a-days. We take decision about this curse. I think its one kind of curse also.

hello guys ...
I could not even form an opinion about the new look and new features that changed the youtube ... most are disapproving, according to the reviews on the subject to which I have access ... but not for lack of knowledge endorsement e. .. will no longer have a say ...
I believe that soon will close my account on youtube ... the reason is that the freedom to disseminate Brazilian popular music is being banned me for "entities" in various foreign countries and ... I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS! ...
I am brazilian, born and raised in the city of rio de janeiro ... I'm being prohibited by "UMG" (again!), "EMI", "SME" and a "society" called "MUSIC PUBLISHING RIGHTS Collecting" (whew!), to disseminate the music of my country, brazil ... as I wrote above, I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS!
my freedom of expression and dissemination of culture, the brazilian authors and performers, can not depend on the trial of foreigners, it is my opinion, is my flag ... I think these "entities" should retire to the insignificance of their duties in their countries of origin, taking care of the affairs of his people, does not prohibit the work of those who, without receiving PROFITS, only publishes music, always citing authors and performers ...
I'm not interested in the laws governing these prohibitions and absurd as I am just one voice among millions of YouTube users, I believe that I have no alternative but to remove me from this community ...
I have edited videos are only in my files, because as a brazilian I refuse to be hampered by non-brazilian interests and perhaps even, financial ...
I will wait for a short period of time ... if my videos are released in these countries that such "entities" Block, continue this was one of the best places on the web to promote art and culture worldwide ...
I deeply regret, leaving my warm hugs to the entire staff of youtube ... oh, and a hoot to these "entities" ...

great idea :)
Wow, the game has changed with the announcement that Adobe is no longer supporting development for FLASH for mobile devices or TV…it is focusing on youtube html5 player and Adobe AIR apps instead….the news got around the game development community quickly. I think the market penetration of mobile devices like the iPad, iPhone, and iTouch from Apple being a merket leader who doesn’t support FLASH made a true impression on developers whose clients pages were losing views by this audience. Comsider Apple’s leadership history introducing CD ROM’s fiirst in computers, dropping the beige look of computers, introucing the iMAc, iTunes, Quicktime, and Jobs support of Blu Ray at Disney helped set standards in many industries…
