Now Playing: "Bram Stoker's Dracula"

Update (11/1) Thanks to everyone who voted. Here are the final results of the "Who's the greatest Dracula" poll:

+++++++

Everywhere you look, vampires seem to be all the rage. But before the broody youngsters of "Twilight" and the Southern nightwalkers of "True Blood" took center stage, there was one Count who ruled the bloodsucking roost: Dracula.

In honor of the world's most famous monster (and everyone's go-to Halloween costume), we're pleased to bring you Bram Stoker's Dracula, courtesy of our friends at Crackle. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Gary Oldman in one of his most memorable roles, it's the story of darkness's cursed prince searching for his suicidal bride in 18th-century England. With Academy Award-winning costumes, killer performances from Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, and a healthy dose of horror, this flick has something for film buffs of varying tastes.

Before you watch, there are a few things we need to note. First, this film is rated R for violence and brief nudity. This means that you'll need to verify that you're 18 years of age or older by either signing into your existing YouTube account or creating a new one. Second, this video is limited to audiences in the U.S. (apologies to our international users). And, third, the film will only be available on YouTube through November 9.

How do you think Gary Oldman ranks in the pantheon of Count Dracula actors? Cast your vote in the poll in the upper right hand corner.

Happy Halloween!

Well, at least they acknowledged the existence of YouTube members outside of the US this time around.

Also, I thought that the MPAA's R rating was like the ESRB's Mature rating - you need to be 17 or older to legally play a Mature-rated game (or in this case, you need to be 17 or older to legally watch this film)

Any explanations for the server outage & the nonstop "An Error Occurred" messages would be highly appricated. It seems that before the V2.0 channels were introduced & forced onto users, the servers never used to be so unreliable.

lyingdead17 - And what BOOK was Nosferatu based on, pray do tell? Dracula by Bram Stoker. And wihtout permission of the Stoker estate, might I add. It's a miracle we're even able to SEE Nosteratu at all nowadays, since the ensuing lawsuit about the story being ripped off resulted in nearly all existing prints being destroyed. The first official version was the 1931 film with Bela Lugosi.

Dracula was the first vampire story as we know it. But if you want to get REALLY technical, there were myths and folk tales about similar creatures long before ever Stoker put pen to paper. Nosferatu was the first vampire movie, sure, but the book came before any of them.

Oh, and as for this special showing of the movie... "This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions." Thanks. So much for Free Trade between Canada and the U.S.

Seriously YouTube, this copyright restrictions B.S. needs to be sorted out. You are an INTERNATIONAL website and it's getting ridiculous already.

I just have to say Nate shouldn't added twilight in there and I can understand True Blood, Twilight just put Vampires to shame.

So using Twilight as an example is pretty much an insult to any vampire series, not just Bram Stoker. So they could of added another example instead of a bad example, that reminds someone of a walking disco ball.
