Today we're delighted to announce that the Vatican has launched a dedicated YouTube channel.

Peace to all men! Yeah right - apart from homosexuals for they are a greater threat to the planet than global warming - what a silly arse this guy is!
Will he have a fashion show wearing his Serengeti-branded sunglasses and brown walking shoes donated by Geox? Can we see him in his golf cart with the Italian upscale leather maker Natuzzi lined upholstery? Well, I would write more, but I need to write a check to my local food bank, there are so many poor and unemployed, and I will just have to do with out stuff like that above, since feeding my fellow man is a little more important to me.

Excellent news. This is wonderful. Now more people can hear and see what the Holy Father really says and not the distortions and horrible bias that the media puts out. This will help people like avsnell who has commented here to see what the Pope truly says and realize he is a sweet and loving person to all people Catholic or not. I hope everyone will take the time to listen to his words before they rush to judge him.

Youtube's policy till now, didn't permit religious non-profits to have a channel.
It is a logical assumption, that this change, may be a sign of a new era of censorship of channels and comments, which possibly or potentially could harm Pope's fame.
After the American Congress, comes Pope.
Who is next ?

I have nothing personally against Pope, I just question, if his entrance in You Tube remains neutral in front of different considerations about faith and God, or invisible hands will remove them silently ?
And what about clear oppositions from atheists or agnostics ? or Satanists ? Time will answer to these questions.

The Vatican stirred a diplomatic maelstrom yesterday when it announced that it had lifted the excommunication of four rebel bishops, including the British Holocaust-denier Richard Williamson.
The decree repealing the 20-year-old Vatican punishment, imposed after the traditionalist French Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre consecrated the four as bishops in defiance of the Pope's authority, was signed on Wednesday by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, the Prefect for the Congregation of Bishops. This coincided with the broadcast on Swedish state television of an interview with Mr Williamson in which the breakaway bishop denied the Holocaust.
"I believe there were no gas chambers... I think that 200,000 to 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps but none of them by gas chambers," he told SVT television in an interview that was recorded in Germany last November. "There was not one Jew killed by the gas chambers. It was all lies, lies, lies!"
Mr Williamson, 68, who is the rector of the Seminary of Our Lady Co-Redemptrix in La Reja, Argentina, is no stranger to controversy. He has endorsed "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion", a notorious anti-Semitic forgery, and claimed that Jews are bent on world domination. He supports conspiracy theories on the assassination of President Kennedy and the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, and has accused the Vatican of being under the power of Satan.

JERUSALEM — Israel's chief rabbinate severed ties with the Vatican on Wednesday to protest a papal decision to reinstate a bishop who publicly denied 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust. The Jewish state's highest religious authority sent a letter to the Holy See expressing "sorrow and pain" at the papal decision.
Vatiocan is just gettig his own Channel, Pope Benedetto is not the poit, he a transicion Pope. Vatican City in Italy have his Radio trasmitting all over the world. Thats just to prevention from others to violate theyr integrity as bringer of true about Catolicism, and probably a good move in the scenario against Islamic Religion.
I think it is great. I have questions I'd like to ask him.
Today, I have an issue with the bad press Michael Phelps is getting, and the possible pullout of his endorsements.
And, today, I will use what I got and countendorse.
Marijuana smoking is a personal decision. It is not for corporations to shape public policy on marijuana use. Corporations may be going beyond their statement or purpose or objective, which have to be filed with the articles of incorporation.
The corporate phrase ultra vires may not apply. I have not mistaken the spelling. I am saying I am casting an ultra virus on those corporations that pull endorsements for Michael Phelps.
CORPORATION SHAPING OF PUBLIC POLICY AGAINST MARIJUANA USE HAS BECOME ULTRA VIRUS, VIRAL INFORMATION AGAINST THOSE CORPORATIONS.
Michael Phelps gained world recognition and swimming history fame by winning 8 gold medals. That was a testimony to his skill, training and talent. It had nothing to do with whether or not he smoked, or smokes marijuana. And, for anyone who smokes marijuana, they would know that he was responsible because he was able to reach that extraordinary level of success.
Marijuana relaxes the body and mind. It is doubtful that if he was a chronic user, he would have been able to have trained physically as hard, or been as physically ready for the challenge. And if he did use it while in his many years of swimming, it is possible that with all that training, the individual needed some down time, to recoup his 'energy'. Training should not be all about exerting yourself to your limits and imposing significant and massive stress on your body and mind. I would think some down time to recoup your energy would bring more focus when you get back to training, possibly see things in new perspectives.
I want anyone and everyone who reads this, to boycott any corporation that pulls their endorsement for Michael Phelps.
I am providing two suggesting schedules for the boycott.
1) that marijuana smoking is a personal decision and Michael Phelps is old enough to make that decision. And, that it has nothing to do with his ability and talent in the swimming pool. The endorsements are representing the possibility of achievement of human beings. Michael Phelps achieved glory and fame, winning a record 8 gold medals, bringing pride back home to the USA with him. If he wants to smoke marijuana, it is his decision, and no one should put him down for doing it. He is old enough to make that decision.
To say that achievement of the greatest levels can not happen if someone smokes marijuana is patently false, and a misrepresentation of marijuana, and it's potential benefits. It is a slur against marijuana. And, marijuana caused no harm to anyone in this instance.
2) Corporations should not engage is shaping social policy. If a cereal manufacturer is in business to sell corn flakes, that is what it should be doing. It should stop trying to say what is right and what is not right. It should focus more on it's cereal manufacturing, perhaps get rid of the .02% of whatever percent of rodent feces that is permissible in cereal by law.
This government is run by 3 branches; executive, legislative and judiciary. Policy is changing toward marijuana use. Corporations should not inject themselves as a psuedo-government influence to shape and control public attitude.
For either reason above, or if anyone has their own or another reason, and even for no reason at all except that it is just something that a person wants to do, I ask that any corporation or sponsor that pulls an endorsement for Michael Phelps be boycotted. And, let's talk about that rat feces and insect parts in the cereal too.
I am level 6. Like the great colossus, like the hanging gardens of babylon, the Great Library of Wherever that Great Library was.
And so when the spy boats from another civilization approached the island of the Colossus, on a mission to find out the weaknesses of the land, for a future attack and invasion. The spies on the boats were ready, to go into the land, to gather intelligence information of how to attack, when, and from where. Except upon approaching and seeing the mighty colossus, they looked at each other. They were bewildered and bemused. They didn't know what this mighty colossus was. Was it a living creature? Was it a war machine? Was it a naval defense? Could it move and swoop down upon enemy vessels? They looked at it and 'wondered'.
It was that wonder that brought them back home to the individuals who deployed them with news of mystery and wonder. With guidance and humble and beseeching advice and counsel that the civilization should befriend this other land, find out what they could about this mighty colossus. The new land had hope to offer. It might be more valuable to become an ally with this nation, to learn what is available and to grow together. And so, wonder averted attack and invasion.
Michael Phelps is level 6, like the mighty colossus. How stupid is it if the creators and sponsors of the colossus, those who held it as a symbol of the greatness of the land, turned away from it, and said to the world that it is just a statue, something that was built with greatness, but who cares anymore. To dry up the wonder that is inherent in that greatness, is to dry up the greatness, the prosperity, the interest and profits of that land.
Any corporation that pulls its endorsement of Michael Phelps will suffer loss in interest and loss of profit.
And so I say to you, that my name is AHurricane for a reason.

VATICAN OFFICIALS ADMIT PR DISASTER
Papal Adviser Concedes 'Management Errors'
Cardinal Walter Kasper, who is in charge of the Vatican's relations with the Jewish community, has acknowledged that mistakes were made in the decision to lift the excommunication of a Holocaust denier. A German bishop has called the move "catastrophic" and is demanding an apology and now Chancellor Angela Merkel has called for greater clarity from the Vatican.

2/9/2009: Germany's Catholic bishops are calling for the expulsion of a bishop, recently brought back into the church by Pope Benedict XVI, after new reports that Richard Williamson denies the Holocaust.
In statements to Spiegel Online, the Web site of the German news magazine, Archbishop Robert Zollitsch said the church should part ways with Bishop Williamson, a member of an ultra-conservative group that split off after Pope John Paul II excommunicated him and three other bishops in 1988.
"Mr. Williamson is impossible and irresponsible," Zollitsch, chairman of the German Bishops' Conference, told the magazine in an article published Saturday. "I now see no room for him in the Catholic Church."
