I have made a video edited to prodigy and i cant get it on audioswap! Its crap that i cant put music to my video even though i bought the cd and ripped it to my hard drive. Get some decent music available for f@$ks sake!!!!!
Audioswap is a really good idea, but the songs are bad. I found only two songs that I like, and I found them after a long search.

Audioswap is terrible. We should be able to state who made the song we uploaded with the video, it doesnt violate copyrights if we give credit to the artist. All songs on audioswap are crappy and weird. Never heard of any of them. So, please, just let us use some of our own audio so we can actually stay sane and have good videos. Thank you.

Okay, so you know what might help??? If it actually worked. I uploaded a video without sound, figuring I'd try this audio swap thing out, and the audio only plays on my video half the time. The other half it's silent and makes me look like an idiot.
Movies use music because it adds effect and creates a sentimental or exciting mood. The song selection is **** to none and to support it there's going to be MORE ads?!

If you can do this, why can't you make it possible for us to control the RELATED VIDEOS!! YouTube is a business tool now, we use it to represent our professional selves to our clients. It's part of our REPUTATION MANAGEMENT as professionals. We need the ability to hide inappropriate videos that associate themselves with ours for no good reason. Either you don't know how to do it, or you don't know how important this is to people.
There's lots of software out there (abaltat muse in particular) that writes music to pictures and had no royalty issues at all....simple

I see we can't upload any videos wich has music in it who ain't of AudioSwap.
This has his benefits , but however it won't work. First of all people don't like if someone controls his/her vids and decides what kind of music he/she is going to put in there video's. People come to youtube to watch a large numbers of vids with variety. Controling and stoping some music don't helps and it wil scare people off.
So my opinion is that you remove AudioSwap and let people to be free again to put there own chosen music in there video's. But if all the songs who exists in AudioSwap wil be posted I have no problems with it.

well, i uploaded 2 videos this week, and they both ended up being flawed because all of the audio was completely missing and i had audio on both original files.
Firstly, why can't we upload our own audio for an audioswap?
Secondly, I have a strong suspicion that rumblefish recognises ALL performances of a famous classical piece as its property, and that, of course, is a nonsense. Many performances of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto number 3 sound very similar, but I dare say rumblefish can only claim ownership over ONE of these.

While I appreciate that audioswap is a benefit. The deal breaker is, and I quote:
"Please Note: When you add a new soundtrack, the audio track on your video will be replaced permanently."
So I guess I'll have to keep mixing my own soundtracks.

It would be good to have this feature continue and grow, but have a bit more control over how to edit the music to the video for example where the music starts and where it stops and have the ability to add fade ins and fade outs.

I have tried to upload a video yesterday and today and no audio!!!! The rendered video has audio, but no audio when it's uploaded! Is anyone else having this problem?
TBH, I really don't see much of a point in this. If people want background music in their videos then they'll use music that is public domain. I just don't think it'll get used much.
And for those worrying about the redesign/bulletins, bulletins are still there but they're cleaned up so you don't get a ton of spam and the redesign looks okay. The thing I'm concenred about is the new censorship rules that may already be in effect that should NOT be there. Sexual content fair enough, I get that but removing videos with profanity? What about all your partners who swear in their videos are they exempt from the rules?

Oh, I thought you guys were going to allow us to change the audio of a video we uploaded to another audio that we rerecord. Some of my video's sound was a little... out of it, and I had to use audioswap to cover up the horrible static noise. But this is old news, why announce now?

The music I need and want are never even close to the tracks lined up there, so I will never use it, ever.
For content creators that actually, uh, intend to create content, couldn't you do like FlippyCat said and create some kind of editing system? Either that, or let users download the songs directly and use them in their post-production process.
What I want to know is going to be effective for most people? I imagine that in 99% of th cases people would like to keep the original audio as well.
I think what would be a lot more beneficial would be to set up a music library on the site where we can simply download music to use in out videos.
A question to go with this is: could we take these tracks and put them in out videos without using the audioswap feature?

Ways to make AudioSwap more useful:
Create an editor that allows mixing original audio with the selected track, with volume and offset options.
Have a list of the songs in the order they have been added. This lets people actually check what is NEW.

And if setting up a music library for free downloading is legally complicated, i'd say just introduce the option to ADD the music to our videos rather than having to swap it completely.
If the Rumblefish deal means that people will be allowed to choose from a wider selection of music without worry of having a video blocked, then I'm all for it.

Wow. I think everything possible has been said, but I'll comment anyway. YouTube creators; don't you realize for one, that you have to change your name, along with everything else, to OurTube? Because that's what it's become. We have to choose...between songs we've never heard of, don't listen to, or don't care about to put in our videos?
And on top of that, when we do, our adio is gone for good? C'mon now, what sense does that make? Honestly. If you think logically, you must know that now is the perfect chance for another video software to steal your users, and strengthen the competition. If you care about having users, which obviously you don't... than you will make durastic changes, and fast.
[I'm feeling lucky] doesn't seem to work too well. I uploaded a lots of videos with different length but when I was pressing "lucky" button, Bodies (Drowning Pool) was always selected. :))
