Community Help Forums have just been launched! This new discussion board is the official place to share ideas, feedback, ask and answer questions, and offer general help to your fellow YouTube community members. Here, you can find out the latest on Announcements, Bug Reports & Issues, How-to's and TestTube Feedback.
You can access the Community Help Forums through the Community Tab, our Help Center or by clicking the Community Help Forums link displayed at the bottom of most pages on the site. In addition to related articles, forum posts are now included within search results in the Help Center. Although YouTube staff may jump in periodically to post updates on bugs, upcoming features or make general announcements, the purpose of this board is for experts from our community (like you) to have a centralized place to post commonly asked questions and provide answers about site usage. You must be logged into your YouTube and Google account to post a question or reply, but anyone can read messages on the Community Help Forums. You will need to click on "Join this group" upon your first visit to the forums, then you can post as often as you like while still logged in.
Our ultimate goal is to make Community Help Forums the easiest and fastest way to get help on YouTube - but we can't do it without you. We encourage everyone to stay active, post often and help us make this discussion board the main destination for users to seek help from community experts.

I can't leave a message on the forum, it says I need to log into youtube (which I already am) then go the the forum, but when I get there it won't let me sign in
Do I need to link my Google Account with my Youtube account in order to post there?
I have the same problem as dctcool. I signed-up for a new account and it didn't work. I tried to link my gmail and new accounts and it didn't work (login incorrect it said.) Tried my old account and it didn't work. Logged into all accounts possible and it didn't work.
If someone gets this working it could be a nice resource.
My Google account is old and outdated, and I don't really like using it anymore... and I see people are already having problems.

Ok, I tried to create an account there... I was able to get it to work by actually doing what the error page said (it says to go to the 'Community' tab on YouTube and to click on the link to the group). So anyone having trouble should try that if they haven't already.

I've requested this issue be resolved and I've offered to communicate with the devs but no one has sent me any message about this issue which continues to be a problem, with the new playlist configuration. Today, I see I am unable to return to using the old Playlist setup, and now I am forced to use the new system which does NOT allow me to move any of my videos within Favorites to my Playlists. YouTube is broken for me and useless if I cannot move my Favorites to my Playlists! This is what happens: I navigate to my channel's Favorites, I select a video within Favorites, and click Add to Playlist, a small window comes up under Add to and it shows the message: Add the selected videos to: Playlist(s), with a Loading Playlists... message and a swirling dotted circle to the left of the message which continues to swirl and does not load my Playlist, I'm unable to move any videos from my Favorites area to my Playlists areas because my Playlists won't load under this submenu! I can navigate through my playlists if I select Playlists, but any attempt to move videos from my Favorites section to my Playlists sections fails because it is stuck at the Loading Playlists... animation which never sees completion. Please have someone contact me so I may work with the devs to resolve this. If I am unable to move videos from my Favorites to my Playlists, what is the point of continuing to use YouTube? Please contact me and let's work this out, otherwise I'll have to post this message every day I'm on here when I cannot use my account as I did before. Please, let's get this issue resolved!
What would really be great is if the forums could be YouTube's property - instead of Google's........
The forums should be on a youtube directory with it's own design - not on the Google news group where it will just be another section.....
So when are we really going to get rid of viacom? Can't you demolish it with your wallets and buy them out? OR APPEAL

hey this is off topic what it is about it a program called pivot its a stick figure animator and i really like it and so do my friends and we would love to upload our vids of pivot on youtube but it wont let us in pivot you usually save your videos in a Pvt file so if u could make that a valid file for people to use when they upload that'd be cool thanks bye.

velvethandofdarkness: I hate to be a buzz-kill, but repeatedly posting on a blog post saying "you didn't implement the feature I want" is not going to get it done. Yeah, you reached your limit of videos on favorites. Learn a programming language supported by YouTube's API and read the documentation about how to manipulate both the favorites and playlists: http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/developers_guide_protocol.html

Hey buddy, that's not the problem, it's not about implementing a feature that I want, it's about a feature of my account which doesn't work with the new design but which did with the old design. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ADDING A NEW FEATURE THIS HAS TO DO WITH MY ACCOUNT NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD! My favorites section is cleared except for a few videos I have recently added. I'm trying to MOVE these favorites into a Playlist but it won't allow me to load the Playlist within Favorites after a video has been selected and an attempt to Add the Favorite to a Playlist is made. Again, THIS IS NOT ABOUT ADDING A FEATURE. This is about a YouTube function which does not work for me but did work for me with the old design. It is broken for me! When I mentioned this the first time, I was suddenly able to go back and use the old design. When they tried to switch it over after this, I omitted the "2" at the end of the URL and I could go back and correctly move videos from Favorites to my Playlists. Don't you get it? It worked with the old design, this has nothing to do with a full favorites section or any error on my part, this has to do with the new design which we're all switched over to now and I can't switch over to the old design which worked for me. I am not able to move videos from Favorites to Playlists. This is one reason why community support FAILS when it comes to genuine problems. The community cannot help me with this issue when it is a problem with the new implementation scheme. I have contacted the editor and submitted a bug report, asking the developers to contact me so I can work with them to smooth out this issue. Learning a programming language and reading extra documentation isn't going to help me when the simple move video from Favorites to Playlists area in the new design DOES NOT WORK but it worked with the old design WHICH IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE? Did you bother to read my post or just jump to my channel where you may have read my UNRELATED post to my channel about hitting maximum favorites? Please do not mix the two, my favorites maxing out has nothing to do with this issue which worked in the old design but fails to work now, and no one from YouTube has contacted me. When it sticks at "Loading Playlist" in the new design rather than loading the Playlist automatically when I choose Favorites, click a video, and click add to playlist, then SOMETHING is WRONG! This is why I'm leaving a repeat of comments because no one is answering my requests for help with anything useful, and I cannot use the old Playlist/Favorites Channel configuration WHICH WORKED and I'm stuck with a Loading Playlist animation when attempting to move any video from my Favorites section.

Is there somewhere where this statement about YouTube employees not reading the comments here is posted? I've also e-mailed the editor, left a bug report, made a brief video demonstrating the issue, and shared the video to the Google Developers along with a brief note. What else is there to do? Were there an official bug section (excluding the recent or current issues area) where users could monitor, report, comment, and further illustrate bugs they're experiencing, I would join and participate. While I believe a community help forums area is a wonderful addition to the YouTube community, I don't believe it can help much when it comes to bugs which the users can only come together and discuss but not solve on their own. Do the YouTube developers follow the Community Help Forums area? In my experience apart from YouTube, developers in other projects don't normally follow web forums but instead mailing lists and/or newsgroups.

But I quote from the blog post that we're commenting on: "YouTube staff may jump in periodically to post updates on bugs." But honestly, you have a problem that not many people have. So it will be harder to get Youtube to fix it...But I'm just saying, the blog isn't the place to tell them.

i`m trying to upload interviews (castings) of XXX movies. no porn scene etc, only the interview, i see a lot of hot movies on youtube, and there are perfectly stay on the site , without any problem, ass , sexy videos breasts striptease sexy dancing etc , and why i cant upload an casting interview from a movies? thx, i want to know, to see where i mistake.

youtube, bring back "videos being watched right now" on the homepage to registered users!
I'm not gonna waste time posting over there...but anyways. The new playlist sucks. You cannot see the users who uploaded the videos in the playlist section like you could before...and it also doesn't show those "Video Unavailable" messages if the video was removed. Which is nice to have if you don't want a bunch of videos saved that don't even exist. I also think it would be helpful to have a search for "Playlists" like the "Uploaded Videos" and "Subscriptions" have. But hey...What do I know? I'm just some random asshole.

Yeah. Okay. I have some bones to pick with Youtube and I don't know where else to pick them. Certainly not in some linked account B.S. So here they are. (1) The account drop menus kinda suck. I think they could be displayed more logically. (2) Wrong messages displayed on homepage bug has still not been resolved. (3) Certain account and playlist settings are not saved after logging off. (4) Will there ever be a search feature for custom playlists and favorites? (5) Saved videos descriptions are not as descriptive as they used to be. i.e. They don't depict the user who uploaded the video and video unavailable messages anymore. (6) Unable to open saved videos in new tabs. Ok...I'm done typing.
