NEW PERSONALIZED HOMEPAGE
Our goal is to give a simple answer to the question, "What should I watch today?" with a personalized, customizable homepage that makes it easy to find the videos and people that you care about. After reviewing results from our beta test and feedback from the community, we're happy to now release the new personalized homepage to all logged-in users. Since launching the beta version in February, data has shown an increase in the number of users visiting the homepage, the frequency of visits, and the number of subscriptions users make over time. So, this optimized version of the homepage not only means a customizable experience for you, but more exposure for your cool videos and channels on YouTube (Note: if you are logged out or do not have an account you won't be able see the personalized homepage).
IMPROVED EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
The email messages you receive from YouTube have been updated with a new layout. In addition to a streamlined design and many wording changes, any comments or messages are now included directly within the body of the email, saving you time.
We're eager to hear your feedback, so please let us know what you think of this latest round of improvements.

I'd like to be able to remove promoted videos because they all suck.
Well there are probably people who like it and people who don't like it. I, honestly, don't. It just reminds me of Windows Vista- pretty and less efficient. It's more organized and more messy at the same time, if that makes sense.
Can you please make an option where we can switch back to the original version if we'd like to? I think that'd make things a lot better.

Frankly, I'm not happy about the new homepage either, but seeing all this insane hatred of it drives me to make a more balanced argument.
I liked the new video page. I don't like the new home page. I, and a lot of other people, liked it the old way. And while the old page was, perhaps, showing it's age, this is dysfunctional.
Could you please make it possible to tweak the page so that it's everything that each of us liked about it? Thanks.

I'd like an option to see the old homepage. I liked videos being watched now and the longer featured videos list. On the new one the recommended videos for me aren't anything I care to watch and I don't like how when I click on one of my recent new videos from subscriptions it never comes up there again (on the old version it stayed there for a week no matter how many times I clicked it- I liked that).
The new version isn't horrible, I just preferred the old one.

what is this crap? in the "friend activity" section i get stuff from people that aren't even my "friends." Not to mention the completly worn-down look it has, I see THREE featured videos. why three? I liked the onld hompage with its SCROLLING SUBSCRIPTION BAR, 10 FEATURED VIDEOS, and LACK OF THE USELESS CATEGORIES LIKE FRIEND ACTIVITY AND RECOMMENDED FOR YOU. Half of the videos recommended for me are ones I've seen. Why would you even need to change this. Now i have to keep logging in and out in order to not look at that crap.
The column sizes on the inbox box need adjusting. More than 3 digits in the total column causes double spacing for item item.
every time a user comments on my video, i get an email in the language of the user who commented. Meaning if some one in holland comments on my video, i will get "Kommentar zu "XXXXXX" gepostet" this is annoying, but i can still get that some one has commented. whats even MORE annoying is when i click and see the email (also in dutch), and i want to go to my video, the link sends me to the dutch youtube site (de.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXX). so im suggestion the emails come in the language of the user who posted the video, not the language of the commenter. I was hoping you would put a fix for this in the recent email notifacations update, but since you didnt, im posting this comment. Thanks

Sometimes I come on youtube, and don't know what I want to watch. I don't understand the reasoning behind not even making this an option for youtube users.
I dislike the changed, atleast the ability to move and rotate the different sections, I'd rather have everything locked in with all the featured videos back in that caresel format you had it before, as for the email, awsome, I love it

I love the new email notifications. Always having to go to the video page to read new comments was a pain. Now I can quickly sift through the comments in my inbox.
We at WAF are HUGE fans of the new personalized homepage. Congrats on a great UI design that works for both viewers and content creators!
The personalized homepages were also convenient for clearing the homepages of videos and making them load faster......
This is convenient for those wishing to search directly for what they need, visiting with a specific purpose in mind and not wanting any distractions or clutter.......

I've been using the personalized homepage ever since it's early launch, and I like the improvements made to it since then... but recently, not all of my subscriptions have been showing up. The sections also seem to randomly change order.
I would love to see an auto fullscreen option for the playlists. Thank you!
The new homepage is utter crap, and once again, just like the email "upgrade" a couple of months ago, removes significant functionality from the site. Meanwhile, the comment display system is still completely broken and unusable past the first page of comments. The most galling thing is that you get a usable homepage... if you stay logged out and give up on commenting, favorites, etc... So to get usable functionality from the site, you have to login, logout, login, logout... Brilliant. Grade: F-
The new personalized homepage sucks without the ability to add the continuously refreshing Videos being watched right now bar and the scrollable Subscriptions bar! I like the statistics and Inbox features, but would like all the cools features at once not just the ones some suit at YouTube thinks we need. It's funny how anything Google touches, like YouTube, starts to stink like a big corporate evil empire. I guess they ditched the "Don't be evil" motto when they became one of the worlds biggest sellouts, caving to China's censorship demands. Ranting done!
Improving the email features is of great help for us users. It becomes hassle-free, plus the layout, it becomes more convenient. I hope youtube will feature more improvements in the future.
